WEBINAR: Improving Housing for Criminal Justice Populations

Access to housing is a key issue for successful reentry and public safety. From the state prison system alone, there are approximately 20,000 releases in Pennsylvania each year, and more than 1,700 individuals at a typical point in time who are awaiting release on parole, or paroled and living in a group home, because they have no home in the community. The Vera Institute of Justice (Vera) is offering technical assistance through the Open Doors to Public Housing RFP to support communities as they work to remove barriers to housing assistance for those re-entering the community after incarceration. Please join us as we have a conversation with representatives of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (PADOC) on how they are interested in supporting and partnering with PHAs pursuing this incredible opportunity alongside local community partners.
