Webinar: Preserving Publicly Supported Rental Housing across Pennsylvania
Presented on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.
Webinar Description:
Join the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania in partnership with Regional Housing Legal Services and LISC Philadelphia for an overview on preserving publicly supported housing. Building on the discussion from last year, we will discuss why preservation matters now more than ever and learn about preserving projects happening in Pennsylvania currently.
All are welcome, but we especially encourage non-profit multifamily building owners, property managers, asset managers, and state and municipal representatives.
More Information:
According to the national housing preservation database, over the next five years nearly 12,000 units of private and non-profit owned publicly assisted affordable rental housing in Pennsylvania will reach the end of a rental assistance or restricted covenant agreement. An investment of resources and technical capacity to address the problem at the state and local levels can protect affordable housing long-term and the families that need the stability and foundation affordable housing provides.
This webinar is the second in a special series on preservation. Please check out the new preservation library for the first webinar in the series “Securing Long-Term Rental Subsidy for Public Housing Using RAD” and learn about additional strategies for preserving both subsidized and unsubsidized affordable housing.
