| New Data: PA Housing Providers Influenced Voter Turnout At Higher Rates than General Election Turnout We turned out more voters than the average turnout rate. When I say “we”, I mean our 37 local PA partners who developed easy to implement ways leading up to the 2024 election to help the people they serve register to vote and get reminders to vote. These partners who joined our PA Votes initiative and to whom we provided support saw 83 percent of the people they engaged get to the polls and vote. This compares to a 68.5% voter rate among PA’s overall voter age population. Voter turnout is generally much lower for low income populations. Check out our report on our results along with case studies of how a number of local Pennsylvania groups helped the people they serve. Congratulations to all the Pennsylvania groups that made a 83 percent turnout rate happen. Many of you are going beyond providing housing and are working to support your tenants and clients to realize quality of life. And we are helping you with tools and resources to make it easier. It matters and it turns out it works. The best way to have an impact on decisions that matter is to vote. We can’t tell people HOW to vote but we can do many other things.
