Many Pennsylvanians have suffered the devastation of severe flooding over the past few years. Both homeowners and renters have seen their homes damaged or destroyed. Yet the cost of federal flood insurance is likely to rise to unaffordable levels and many renters do not have renter’s insurance. How will Pennsylvanians fare in future floods?
The PA Department of Insurance has some answers. Hear from Department staff about private market flood insurance as a possible alternative to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), as well as a discussion on the importance and availability of renter’s insurance.
