Funding reductions in the last three budget cycles have weighed heavily on Pennsylvanians in need and the organizations that serve them, according to a new statewide survey from United Way of Pennsylvania (UWP) and its partners.
The survey conducted in late 2012 provides a snapshot of conditions for Pennsylvania most vulnerable individuals and human services agencies. Survey data is comprised from responses from over 800 nonprofit organizations that serve all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties. Responding groups include, but are not limited to, food banks, domestic violence agencies, libraries, faith based organizations, children services and agencies that serve senior citizens and people with disabilities.
