Pennsylvania’s housing authorities have a great story to tell. They provide homes to 154,000 families and individuals who might not otherwise have homes. Redevelopment authorities are bringing renewed energy to our older communities and increasing property values to boot.
So why does Congress insist on cutting HUD funding? Because they don’t get the connection between the budget line items and the impact these programs have on their communities. It’s up to us to connect the dots so they will champion the programs that mean so much to our residents and communities.
