Families with limited means who live in multifamily buildings in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia spend significantly more of their income on utility costs than average city households, according to a new study, Lifting the High Energy Burden in America’s Largest Cities: How Energy Efficiency Can Improve Low Income and Underserved Communities, by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) and Energy Efficiency for All (EEFA).
