Land Bank Public Hearing Held November 14 at PA’s Capitol

November 15, 2017

The House Urban Affairs Committee held a land bank hearing November 14 to discuss the progress of land banks in Pennsylvania. The five year anniversary of Act 153, which made it possible for land banks to be created in Pennsylvania, was October 24, 2017. The Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania, along with many of its state partners, provided testimony at the hearing about the successes landbanks throughout PA have had in making headway on eradicating blight in their communities. For the hearing, the Housing Alliance produced materials to highlight the successes of the land banks, and give background information about them.
