The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s Community Development Studies & Education (CDS&E) Department has added new information and updates to its popular Community Profiles series. These profiles provide the public with current socioeconomic and demographic data, updated information on community organizations, and leads on funding sources for every metropolitan area in the Third District. Users will now find links to U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey reports with demographic, economic, social, and housing characteristics for each metropolitan area, as well as information on bank locations for each area based on data collected by the FDIC.
Community Profiles, which are available on the department’s Community Development Data Dashboard, represent only one of several resources available to community development practitioners. Additional resources include CDS&E’s analysis of recent home mortgage data, slides illustrating consumer credit trends, and research on rental housing affordability.
