There is a new type of assistive technology known as smart technology that can make it possible for people with disabilities and seniors to live and work more independently. These devices connect wirelessly (the Internet of Things) and can control lights, fans, televisions, thermostats, access to the front door, and more! This workshop will include personal accounts of why these devices are important new additions to any home, how some of these devices work, how to set them up, and how to finance them affordably.
