State Ruling a Boon for Builders, Developers - Bucks County Courier Times
Developers facing expiration of their permits and approvals will have three more years to complete their projects.
New legislation will give builders burdened by the weak economy three more years to get their stalled developments off the ground.
Gov. Ed Rendell signed a law last week giving builders who had active permits or approvals at the beginning of last year until July 2, 2013 to either complete their project or apply for an extension.
"We're very pleased it passed," said Lou Biacchi, vice president of the Pennsylvania Home Builders Association, which backed the measure. "It seemed a waste of money to force builders to spend large amounts of money to reapply." (story continues) www.phillyburbs.com/news
